New Years Eve

Happy New Year! New Years Eve seemed to produce alot of half blurred photos of my friends sitting around playing Call of Duty and drinking beers. This one will have to suffice.

Skid Pan

Today I received another Christmas present today, doing a 'Skid-Control' course at Goodwood. I basically got to rag about in a (Manual) old 3 series beemer on a circuit drenched in oil and rainwater. Much fun ensued!

Aerial

I love this photo! It was nicked from my pictorial encyclopedia of railways.

By The Sea

I popped into Brighton tonight with some lads. We went to Blackrock where we found horses (?) then to Mcdonalds for an apple pie and finally to Weatherspoons to witness a kid being sick. Nice! By the way, dont ever go to Weatherspoons.

Back to Black & White

The festive season brought with a tumult of colour photos. This post will now change all that. The photo of the moon was taken with my new camera but with my Dads new 300mm lens. Its rather impressive to say the least! Here it is BIG.

Scanned

I got a new scanner! Here is a Christmas present I painted for my three of my younger cousins. Its a Mexican day of the dead Calavera. They are also referred to as Sugar Skulls. Although its slightly the wrong time of year for a Sugar Skull, I think they look awesome. I think there are some tattoo style references here also. The other scan is of a page from a magazine I got in my stocking, CLASSIC AMERICAN muscle car magazine! Here is a beyond awesome Challenger SRT8 next to an old school and equally beyond awesome Challenger RT. Many more scans to come I hope!

Climax

CHRISTMAS DAY! What a great day, precisely preplanned and meticulously executed. It was the usual recipe with stockings first and then breakfast, walk and PRESENTS! I wish it didn't take a whole year to get to this again. Then again I will be twenty at that point and I tell you know, that is a scary thought. One step at a time. Here is a shot of the warm fire in the old bit of the house while we opened presents. Also a daytime long exposure on our walk and alst but not least a photo of Badger in front of some of the presents! Merry Christmas to everyone who reads this. Next stop New Year 2010!

The EVE!

CHRISTMAS EVE!
Here are some more shots on my new camera. Two portraits, one of my dad and one of my aunt (In a Darth Vader suit). Also a classic driving long exposure. The ISO settings on the new camera allow for massively longer shots while not being too washed out.

23

A limbo day. Here are some preliminary shots I took with my new camera after a long tiring day at work, 9 hours in total.

Locked Out

Todays photo probably should have been taken with my new camera. Unfortunately, a furious morning Xmas shopping and work all afternoon and evening meant that this shot of the Golf taken with my NV20 while locked out of the house will have to do. Looks kinda professional though doesn't it!

Oh yeah...ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS!

The Big One Nine

I love having my brithday on the winter Solstice, even if it means having no presents for a whole year until the next winter. Having done the deed nineteen times now, I find myself critiquing the day constantly as it goes on comparing it to previous years and worrying that the rest of it wont be any good. I hope next year I can go somewhere for a one day holiday, maybe with family, to some secluded but scenic location, possibly Lapland (to see the Northern Lights) and have a birthday that is truly unforgettable and wont allow me for even a second to allow nostalgia to set in and waste my precious time dwelling on things passed. Having said all this, today was a top day. It rained in true English style, but the snow was still there and it was just an excuse to spend some good time with the family. In the evening we headed to Brighton and went to 'Jamies Italian' restaurant in the South Lanes. Just like last time, the whole experience was exceptional, with delicious food and a great atmosphere. Moving on to more important things, at dinner I was presented with my Birthday present. A Nikon D5000 Digital SLR. Its time to up the standards of this blog people and photos to come will be a visual feast. Look out for some serious long exposure experiments as it has an 'unlimited' mode. I think thats enough chat today and I hope the photos speak for themselves.

Almost Nineteen

Today was my 19th pub get together. Thirty or so people ended up coming over from as far afield as Horsted Keynes and Hove. It was a really good night but I was a little stressed at the end to say the least. Here's an embarrassing photo of me some one took at the pub.

Snow Day Pt.2

Some more of the many photos taken on the Snow Day. The snow is actually still here and hasn't yet melted. Although driving is made like twenty times more dangerous, it makes everything look really cool!

Snow Day

Its Friday, College has broken up. What can make the day even better? Snow of course! Here is a selection of many photos taken today. Enjoy!

Fear & Loathing

Ive seen the film, now its time for the book. This is one of those cult things. Dont get me confused with a Drug fanatic but this story seems to have a obsessive pheromonal presence about it. If you can see it, see it. If you can read it, read it. Also, note the incredible iconic cover artwork by none other than Ralph Steadman.

HKS Inside?

A sweet Evo heading toward the Level. The hood seemed to have a glow coming from it through the scoop. It had a full kit, performance muffler and manifold, carbon fibre hood and a decent spoiler. Not bad!

Tiring day.

Gearing Up

Yet another crisp and cold but surprisingly clear and sunny day. College was a typical day but here are some photos from throughout. Note the Christmas tree up in Brighton station! It mus be close to the big day now! Not forgetting that before that is my 19th!

The Cold Sets In

Its goodbye to rain and hello to cold and frost. I prefer it this way. Today I had my work Christmas party at the Thatch Pub in Hassocks. It was a real laugh. The drink in the image is a raspberry and pear St.Hellier Cider. I also had a Guiness to even out the man factor! Apart from the party in the evening, I managed to spend most of the day in Brighton Christmas shopping and not get a single thing. Incredibly Frustrating.

Big Apple

No, not new york, this was a physically HUGE apple, it just had to have its picture taken (While at work). Also, more criminal activity in the work CD player. When will they learn.

A tasty A5 and a Shark! Today college ended early so I went Christmas shopping.
