Tin Foil Toil

This was at the Saatchi gallery near Sloane Square. The exhibition was called 'Unveiled- New Art From the middle east'. One entire room was filled to the brim with these strange tin foil figures that all seemed to be praying and worshiping. Very interesting.

Time For A Change

Thought I would switch it up a bit today to make up for the last two. I took this long exposure up next to the Jack & Jill Windmills. Then, a hop, a skip and a slight tweak on the ol' photoshop later...a boom! My song of the day is from a Swedish stoner rock band called 'Truckfighters'. Put simply, they rock! Check em out!

One from the archives

I took this picture last year in the countryside near my house. With an enormous work load, and some really uninspiring weather back in England, I have resorted to displaying some photos from last year.

Snow White

The weather this week has been wild. Grey, rain, sun and now SNOW! This is not a panorama but rather a crop. Many more Panoramas to follow!

Bar Night

'Yeni' Raki- an aniseed flavoured spirit from Turkey. To serve, ice is put at the base of the glass, the Raki is then poured over and finally water is added which causes the whole drink to go cloudy. (Like the test for CO2 when it is bubbled through lime water)

Temples, Tombs & Goddess'

Along with a total of nine hours minibus ride, today was the day I visited Ephesus! It is a historically rich city dating back to before christ. Here is a marble slab catching some of the water that minutes before arrival had rained down from the heavens. The weather was kind.

Baclava

Today unfortunately it rained, making it almost feels like home. This is some masonry which i came across at some deserted ruins at Amos. There was even an alter for sacrifices and an amphitheater. Tomorrow to Ephasus.

...and still no song of the day due to no youtube. More info HERE

While beach combing, I came across this rake. A nice day with some sun, some Ephus Beer and some sketching.

Night Walk

Here is a lit up street in Torunc. It was like a ghost town and an odd introduction to the country.

Candle Candle Burning Bright

While creeping around the chapel at night, trying to get a good photo for the school photography competition, I spent some time attempting a long exposure macro candle shot. Here it is!

Blazing

...sky! Busy downloading episodes of House and My Name is Earl, I briefly glanced up from my desk, to be confronted by a magnificant sight. This was it.

Busy Busy Bike Wall

I attended a lecture today on Law, or in particular, criminal law. I must confess to having my doubts prior to the event, which were fortunately put to rest. Some very interesting examples of criminal law were explained including a case of a northern farmer who delt with thieves in his home by shooting them in the back while they snuck out of his house and then claimed to have acted in self defence. Hmmmm.

Part of my Art coursework was due in today= Done!

This photo, if it is at all difficult to make out, is of a motorbike and a wall. Its a bit arty, but hey.

What is that?

One day, this will glow. There was non-stop rain today which made me nostalgic for summer. Also, exactly one week today I leave for Turkey!! Yey!

I do like my cars. This midnight blue M3 caught my eagle eye in a North Lanes car-park shortly after purchasing a CD (The first time I'd bought a CD in a good year).

Double Trouble

Not one but two posts today. I couldn't get over this skyscape. Its almost scraped right off the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and Pasted up onto this blog.

Powdered Persistence

Not one snow day, but two! After another serious tobogganing session, I am a little worse for wear! After crashing out one time, I looked up to see the moon framed nicely between some long grass. Kodak moment.

Came across a wall, liked what was on the wall, photographed the wall and didn't desaturise the photo.
