Another Day

Another wet, windy and generally crap weather day. I just watched the forecaste, and guess what, more rain predicted for the next days. Seriously, weather, sort it out. Heres a nice R33, a random view and a photo of the train board that some fool walked in front of. No work today though which was nice.

Dreaming Of Better Weather

Boring Sunday. Here are some photos from the summer. Good memories and much better weather! That yacht was literally as tall and long as Brighton Station. Also, the second image is from my summer 09 trip to Prague. I keep teasing myself with ideas for next summers European city adventure.

A View of Today

Note the Christmas lights in the top photo lining the North Lanes. It must be that time of year already. The second photo, although it may not look like much, is what about 7 stories vertically down looks like. The last two photos are from an Exhibition I visited today called 'Head'. It was a strongly Street Art influenced array of canvas', wall murals and other interesting oddities. The photos are from the upstairs area of the gallery which had previously housed some more murals from the Heavy Artillery Crew. Slightly more photos and description today as I didn't have work and didn't see 2012 like I was supposed too.

Back to Blue

More simple photos as Im incredibly busy still. Ucas is very frustrating. This sky was the first blue sky id seen for about 3-4 weeks. Also, I spied this sweet AC Schnitzer M3 walking out of Subway. Some kid was sitting in the passenger seat and seemed very perplexed as to why I was photographing her Dads car. Well, its pretty obvious I think, its a damn fine vehicle.

First Day

...of Work. It was hard.

Light Up

A day of lights. The first image is actually underneath Brighton station. I wander whats going on in there. The second image is what my walk up to the station every evening looks like. They've tried to brighten up the dingy underpass next to the station. I think it works!

Rearview

Another Jaguar. I have always loved jags; whether it be the new ones or the old ones, X-types or XJ's, E-types or XK's. It was drizzly and rubbish on the weather front today but somehow the sun seemed to shine down on the Jag. Thinking about what an actual Jaguar is, I have been inspired to do some Tattoo style Jaguar sketches. Today was a fun day although the college work I needed to do didn't quite get finished.

B&O

Lazy photo today. I was really busy and didn't do much that warranted a photo. I did however manage to get a job! The picture is of a Bang & Olufsen Beocenter. Its goood! If anyone has an 8-din plug to mains I'd happily take it off their hands for a fee.

Jag

Said in the the top gear way. Despite the fact it was raining and crap, this jag seemed to have a showroom freshness to it and its paint. I got a call today about having an interview to work at Budgens. Perhaps future posts will be me mid way through stacking the milk aisle.

Tunnel Vision

I spied this sweet white 3-series coupe next tot he Audi in Churchill Square car park this evening. When I first looked at the image on the camera i thought it looked as if it had been taken at speed through a tunnel. The white paint must be an effort to keep clean but really looks the business on luxury sedans like this one! I almost sold my PS3 today. Heaven forbid!

Tattoo

Today, something really self satisfying happened. I visited a Tattoo parlor for the first time. It wasn't me getting a tattoo, but rather a college friend. The story doesn't stop here however as my involvement in the process wasn't just one of moral support. I drew the design. Granted it was very simple and may have included some small daisy like flowers (At the request of the tattooee). Having said that though, something i drew is now on somebodies skin for the rest of their life. Having been a real fan of tattoo art for a long time now it was a real treat to see the process done in person and be in the atmosphere at the heart of a studio. Incredible pieces of art hung from every space of wall, pots of Indian ink lined cabinets were everywhere the eye looked while the only sounds were Juice 107 banging out of the radio and the machines whirring and buzzing away. I definitely dont want a tattoo myself now or any time in the near future but maybe its not I would completely put out of my mind. The works on the walls were incredible - Click the images to see them bigger!

Brighton

..as seen from the top of Pelham Tower during the sunset! The light today was great and more importantly...It didn't rain!

Airbags

I think this is a really interesting car. It may be quite an ugly car (At least in my opinion), however this is only one side to it. Bringing me nicely onto my main point; that this vehicle has bucket loads of character. The frog like (Pardon the reference to France) front end, the classic overall styling, the low body position (Due to air suspension- the first of its kind), the fact that the rear wheels are completely covered and many other interesting things give it an amazing personified sense of personality. When I saw it poised in this wheel out and aggressive stance, I knew it had to make the daily photo!

*New header: it will be changed soon.

Mechanisms

I love mechanisms and engine parts.

For a journey through time and space (Like this blog used to be subtitled) check out the Deeper Shades Of House Podcast. Troves of really beautiful deep house from start to finish.

Saturday Night

Here is a random shot of a wicker thing in the pub. I met up with my friend Andy who I hadn't seen since summer. It was great to catch up and resulted in a very late night XBOX session round his house! That's how Saturday nights should be.

Dog & College

A view of Pelham tower from where I ate lunch today. It was also the spot where I saw a modded Toyota Supra do an illegal street drift around the corner at the traffic lights. To put it mildly it made my day. Also a shot of my dog's paw.

Four O'clock Finish

Technically these photos are from Friday but hey. Another late visit to Digital, this time to see Fake Blood! No, not some novelty halloween trick the critically acclaimed Electro-House DJ and Producer. The night was both an amazing one and a costly one. I foolishly forgot my ticket meaning that a second one had to be bought on the door which didn't do my bank balance any favors. I also had my camera given its own private alcho-pop bath by some drunkard. Hopefully the photos weren't hindered by this. As the title suggests, It ended at 4ish and I got to be around 5. :D

This was a phenomenal tune that Fake Blood dropped during the night:
Malente- I Like it (Riva Starr Snatch! Remix)

Confusion

Todays title is not in reference to my current state of mind but rather the weathers. It rained relentlessly this morning up until it started to shine like summer. Almost to be expected, the next stage was back to the dark and wet shortly after. I think that the first photo is just so gloomy, its perfect for summing up todays weather. Then also a sign from a shop that has just opened near college. It is a very 'strange' shop however I mean strange in the 'cool' sense. The guy who owns it is literally drenched in tattoos and has a great big bushy black beard. The shop itself sells such essential items as rams skulls and original Elizabethan thrones. Check it out if thats your thing. Then a blurry impreza on the walk up at the end of the day.

Last But Not Least

To get this first shot, I had to climb out onto a slippery wet rained on roof, freeze but shoeless feet right off and brave the cold night air with only a thin jumper on. Why? Because I decided it was time for a nice moody night sky shot. Also, a little preview of a current project. Things took a turn for the better today having not started so well yesterday!

Lanes at Dusk

Two quite different images today. The first one is from about 4.00pm today. Half an hour later and it was dark. I think that is one of the strangest parts of winter. How the day transforms itself. The other photo is from around 4.45pm. I took it over my shoulder running for the train that would leave only a few minutes later. I edited it, obviously, into this strange (Almost photoshop filtered) looking image. I just really like it even though it was quite a half hearted photo and far too heavily post processed. Today was the start of my Graphics Illustration pathway which started off, unfortunately, without flying colours. It has however encouraged me to step my game and preferably stay away from electrical tape.

Another great song my friend Nick from Edinburgh sent me. Picture the early stages of dusk (Like my photos from today) but on a sweeping mid western plain where one can see for miles around. In two directions, behind and in front is a straight road, romanic in its precision and endlessness. The vehicle being travelled in along this road is a Dodge Challenger R/T. This song is playing at an appropriate volume.

Shattered

Lots of splintered wood today (?). I also noticed on my last dog walk that one of 'Jack's' blades had been removed. it was only today that I saw up close that it wasn't a case of having been removed but rather that it has actually broken off and fallen down. Having had a really hectic and ation packed day yesterday it was nice to catch up on some things and just generally chill out. Oh yeah, how awesome are the colors in the third image!

Also check out this song: 'Telepopmusik - Don't Look Back (John Tejada Remix)' Just wow.
