The Eve

The best New Years Eve yet. I always say New Years Eve when I mean Christmas Eve.

Back To London

I missed London so I went back with Andy for a solid days ride. I also picked up some bargain wheels, three to be correct which should come in handy soon! My Geoffrey Butler is now fixed with risers. Possibly a crime but it is a much more comfortable cruising body position.

Bogos

I was supposed to hit up London today with Anna and Mum to pick up a sack of Algerian Coffee and see some shop window decorations but due to time constraints and this lingering snow, we diverted to Lewes instead. It was a fun day popping in and out of cool shops, eating Polish food at the Baltica Cafe and following it all with a bike ride in the snow on my newly de-geared Geoffrey Butler. Cycling home in the dark, ice and cold was certainly interesting.

12oz

Today I finally saw Harry Potter. Then I had an unbelievable dinner at the Hotel Du Vin with the family. I had steak with red cabbage and chunky chips. Ymmm.

Journey To The West

A little update from my recent trip to Tintagel, Cornwall. It was cold and snowy most of the time so I thought the black and white theme would be appropriate. Much delicious cornish ale and full english breakfasts were consumed.

Shopping

I finally got home! What a wonderful feeling. For my first full day back I popped into Brighton with Anna for some Christmas shopping. It also snowed some more. Please note the dark fog bank in the photo of the traffic.

Reinbeer

Today was so long. I went in early for Life drawing which went on and on all day. When that was finished with, also being my last life drawing session this term, I then had to walk all the way to the Boat Club for Ergos. I did my best 5k to date somehow being in a miserable achy state. There was only one thing to do after such a day, go to the pub. I recommend a ale thats come out for the festive season called 'Reinbeer' - goes down very easy! So in the end it wasn't such a bad day. Oh yeah I even got some compliments from my life drawing teacher about a number of drawings which is unheard of!

Snow Day

All this snow, ice and disruption has got me on my feet quite a bit at the moment. Its the first few days since coming to University that I havn't been cycling. As I mentioned a while back though it is easier to get photos and be more observant. Here was a nice Mixte singlespeed looking elegant amongst the snow. I might try and rebuild mums bike like this with a more comfier seat and different bars. Uni was cancelled today which was great but what was truly awesome was that rowing was cancelled!

Countdown

Weirdly enough I just broke through 666 posts on the daily photo and happened to spot it! What a better way to do this other than jumping into the cold and snowy month of December. To top things off it was snowing and as usual I had rowing. Here is a picture of below freezing boat house! Also, its now officially almost Christmas!
