I have been super busy recently so instead of a picture of the inside of work or college, here are some nice memories from my trip to Prague last summer.
I am getting great nostalgic surges of my intense car fanatic days with racing bikes. Some of them are incredible. It especially rocks when you see them in the flesh. Above are two examples, the bottom one being a rubbish shaky photo but the bike itself was a beautiful Holdsworth in blue and white. The other which was slightly on the retro side was a fixie in bone and tan colour scheme. I also bought more bike related goodies today including some metal polish. Beware grime and rust on my chain and crank-set, I am coming for you. Please also note the weather in the top image. Incredible, shame it didn't last.
Today I battled on with my final major project and found some time in the afternoon to meet up with an old friend who is off traveling the world in two weeks. I am quite jealous to say the least. Also, I purchased some Carrera blue grip tape for my handlebars today.
Here it is, my new bike. Its a classic Dawes that came to me in need to love, repair and shiny goodies. I am happy to tend to its needs. Currently I am sanding and cleaning.
I spent a wonderful weekend in Dorset visiting my Grandma (She wouldn't approve of me calling her that). We went to the pub for a tasty Ham Egg & Chips after a great walk along the beach below Henghisbury Head. The weather during the drive down (Saturday night) was disgusting with constant heavy rain. Luckily it had all blown away by the morning and it was almost short and t-shirt weather. How lucky! I have put link below the first two photos to see them Big in a new window which I recommend. All in all a great trip!
Big trip to London today. I went to the Theo Van Doesburg Exhibition at the Tate and then to the Kemistry gallery near Old Street Tube station to see a selection of works from the Polish Graphic Design agency Homework. Both were very impressive and gave me lots of ideas and inspiration for my current project. The images include; fruit at the Borough Market, an Audi R8 near Guys hospital, a sweet bike, the Golden Hinde, the turbine hall, the Homework exhibition and a Space Invader.
Rolls Royce came to City today to try and spot talent. unfortunately they were looking at Textile Students and Mechanics. Happy St.Patrick's day! I celebrated with a nice cold pint of Guiness!
Today was amazingly yet another nice day. However when I walked back up to the Station at the end of the day a huge bank of fog had smothered the city and it felt bitterly cold. I got myself a new back as well.
Work all day today. I still need to recover from Thursday night. Also today I treated myself to a Remote shutter lead for future long exposures. Heads up for some hour long shots!
Tonight was the night. I can roughly remember a year and a half ago stumbling across Canadian Dubstep producer Datsik on a forum in some obscure corner of the internet. I quickly realised that he was not only a truly incredible and original producer but soon come he would be an international storm. A year and a half later from that point was today when he played at Digital in Brighton. The night was over and above my expectation and Datsik killed it. If your aren't familiar with his work and dont mind trying something new in your ears then give these links a whirl
I was back in the Long Exposure game tonight. It was nice and cold but I wrapped up warm. I think next time I wont bring the dog and will have ago at the 100 new ideas I had on the walk back home.
It was super sunny today which made up for the more than brisk wind. There were some clouds though which was good as it produced this great sunset. I also added another picture of the 3-series coupe that lurks around college at the moment. So nice!
