End of the Week

Today I had my interview at St.Martins. It was very impersonal. On a better note, I got accepted into Kingston which made me the happiest Id been for a while! Also, London has alot of sweet bikes, and I mean alot!

Hunt

A nice little walk with Badge today. We went in search of a Meteorite on Wolstonbury. The effort was fruitless.

Interview

Today I had an Interview at Kingston for Illustration and Animation. In the middle of my interview, the conversation came onto my Daily Photo which I had mentioned in my Personal Statement. After asking if I had taken my photo for the day yet, to which I replied that I hadn't, the tutors suggested that I get my camera and posed for their place as the 27th of April 2010 daily photo. Kind of bizarre but also quite cool I thought.

It was a stressful day though particularly where public transport was concerned. It was also extra nice with a cold. Hopefully it was worth it though!

Karma To Burn

Aside from an infuriating cough/cold/blocked-nose/sore-throat/general-crapness today was amazing. I had the day off college to get my portfolio looking a little better which was needed. I then trecked up to Euston to meet my friend Rob and Nick for a Pizza near Warren Street before heading to the 'Relentless Garage' to see the almighty 'Karma to Burn' play live.

*Update- some more photos that I only just uploaded from my D5000.

Cool fixed gear bike near college! Bullhorns and lots of shiny chrome finishing.

Daily Routine

Lonesome cycle today that took me out Henfield way where I succumbed to a puncture and had to slog home with it. Nice day though!

Evening Rides

Some awesome sunsets going down at the moment. Perfect for evening rides. The Volcanic Ash in the skies seems to be all the news at the moment. I hope it means there will be some even better skies soon!

Easter Over

A massive Sunday bike ride today making the most of my LAST DAY of Easter holiday. The weather has been incredible and the bike rides have been plentiful. Todays ride took us along to Westmeston, up Streat, along to Spatham, back down to Hassocks up to Burgess Hill and back to Clayton via Hassocks. Somehow my thighs have not fallen off yet. Before the ride I also managed to put a gloss coat on the bikes frame therefore making the paint job as good as done. I also just bought another bike off ebay! A classic Raleigh for £26! Pics to come.

Back to Work

Back to work again. Managed to get out in the evening for another bike ride with Andy.

Long Ride

Today I got on my bike and headed for the station. I then trained into Brighton for a lengthy cycle ride that took me from Hove all the way to the Marina and back home again. The sun was incredible, it was warm and I had a selection of tasty tunes on my iPod. The photo is from the end of the Marina's jetty at the most southerly tip. It was a smooth and enjoyable ride apart from the odd pedestrian aimlessly running across the cycle path in front of me without any warning. I will definitely do this ride again but perhaps next time try and head all the way to Rottingdean.

North

I flew up North to London today for an Interview at Camberwell for the Sequence & Interaction Illustration FDA course. I'm not yet sure of the result, time will tell. Peckham Rye station was surprisingly near East Dulwich where I went with Andy to get his frame not so long ago. Note the presence of the awesome Gherkin in the image. Look out for the 'Shard' at London Bridge, that thing is going to be awesome.

I cant help myself with the bike pics. Here was a silhouetted shot from a nice evening ride after a hectic day paintballing. My team won of course.

Work wasn't so bad this week. I topped the day off with a nice ride to Burgess Hill and back before cracking open a Budvar and catching the latest Harry Potter on TV with the fam.

Bon Journee

Click HERE to see the panorama BIG.

Here are some snaps from my roadtrip to France. It was a one day there and back affair with a discounted tunnel ticket and about 6 bags of sweets between us. It was a great day but a long one. We were in the car for a total of 10 hours but the pre-sunrise crossing and late night return meant that the most of the day was made. The weather was amazing. It was t-shirt and shorts time and got to 18 degrees at one point with a cloudless sky for the majority of the day. I returned home with a new tyre (Pneu) for my bike and a heap of cheap french explosives. Definitely a great day.

The bottom image is a panorama of a place we visited called 'Bray-Dunes'. We literally went there because the name sounded funny. It turned out to be a great place with a heap of sand dunes, a beautiful beach and some ww2 bunkers to explore. It even had a perfectly flat promenade that we raced out micro scooters down.

Other than the panorama there is Nicks Plus which looked incredibly shiny, Nick causing destruction at the bunkers near Bray Dunes, Andy doing jumps at Dunkerque which had some awesome docks and a huge flat pristine carpark, a cool ship called the 'IT Interceptor', me traitorously using Nicks Canon, a tiny jellyfish and the lads out on the lovely beach. Long live good weather and holiday.

On the Coke

I hope your innocent minds didn't think twice about that title. Busy day today wishing farewell to my friend Stuart before his five months of travel, having an awesome pub lunch, getting ready for France, oh and also assisting on a photoshoot of some BMX riders with my friend Dale. Quite a good day.
