BHM

The Sun GT 10XL is painted! I went for an antique-metallic-light-blue in the end. I might try and reapply some decals (Stencil or something) to bring back some identity but I really like the stripped down and minimal look. Obviously the bike is crankless, chainless and brakeless, but it is only a matter of time. I also went to see Robin Hood in the cinema today with the family, which was brilliant. On the way we stopped at my Nana & Grandpas grave. This flower really reminded me of my Nana and the two gardens they had.

Bikes & Mounts

I went on a ride today in preparation for next Sundays Burgess Hill Bike Ride. Half way through we stopped at the Plough at Plumpton for a nice glass of free water. In the picture is the Polish WW2 Memorial for those who flew out of Chailey Airstrip and gave their lives to defend Britain. Also here is one of the brackets I made to hang my final piece. With hindsight I should have made them slimmer or our of perspex. Im sure there will be another opportunity in the future to rectify my plans.

Soy

I was walking to lunch today and saw this random pot of Soy Sauce capsules underneath a retro Technics turntable. Random.

Brilliant Light

I was really pleased with these two photos. The evening sunlight was scare but brilliant. These photos are testament to yet another ride, which hopefully is good training and practice for the Burgess Hill Charity bike ride I have entered on the 6/6/10.

Hard Ride

I somehow managed to cycle all the way from college in central Brighton back home this afternoon. It is not the most pleasant ride with the A23 roundabout to cycle path connection taking me onto a busy road that is essentially still dual carriageway with nutters whizzing by at high speed apparently not aware a roundabout is coming up and a cyclist is in front or next to them. This has brought me to a recent conclusion. The facilities for bike on the Sussex roads are absolutely useless and in most cases extremely dangerous.

The weather was incredible again today though.

So Hot

Some of the most incredible weather Ive seen for a long time today. Apart from zooming into Brighton on the bike, working on my FMP, and spending some time with the family, I still managed to finish sanding and fully prime my Sun GT's frame! Progress.

Frazzled Friday

Today was mental to say the least. It felt like a weeks worth of events and happenings crammed all into one day. Here are alot of pictures showing some of the stuff I saw today.

New Bits

A very nice day today. It was my last day of 'classroom attendance' at college. Next week I will be building, painting, printing and being generally very busy. Please note in the top photo my new chainset/crankset which I currently have in 42 tooth mode having removed the 52. I will switch back soon for the track next week however. Having the new 42 setup makes it much easier to ride up hills, accelerate from a standstill and do cool stuff like wheelies and trackstands. Its fun.

Track

This weeks track visit was to the races. I nicked my dads awesome 70-300 lens and took some snaps. I think next time I need some more practice and maybe a tripod for the low light levels. It was a very fun night though.

Hidden

Went to Burgess Hill for Mcdonalds and snapped this sky. I also semi-hid my bike in a random crop field for the other pic. I dont know why. The wheels on my bike in this photo are the 27" ones I got on my SunGT. Unfortunately after a quick pump the inner tube in one exploded (Literally) so for now its back to my precious Ambrosio rear and Bontrager Front.

Wood Frame

Commencing my week of 'Final Major Project Final Piece' it seems that I am spending alot of time on the bike. Good. Also note the nice bluebells colour matched to my bike below the Tank Traps.
