Velodrome

College was tough today with a fierce headache and lots to do. After a quick nap and a plate of tasty fish fingers around 6.00 It was then time to head over to Preston Park to see Race Night at the Preston Park Bike Circuit/Velodrome. It was an awesome place, much bigger than I had anticipated. It was outdoors and even had a PA system hooked up with a commentator giving his opinions on the races and results. Some of the bikes being raced were incredible, including a vintage Bianchi, a Mercian, a number of Dolans, a Planet X and a multitude of others. I am extremely keen to get on the track myself, which I am planning on doing next Thursday, and possibly getting serious on the Wednesday session. We also managed to cycle through central Brighton to the Marina and back again to catch the last of the races before heading home. The top image was taken at Preston Park Station on the way back, I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
