Snow & Collage

It started snowing today! I had a collage project run by an Illustrator Nick White which is great. Here is an envelope of my scalped magazine clippings, a snowy Carlton fixed gear and some gloomy shots from the 'walk' home.

Tideway

I was reminded of the cold today when I trekked over to Putney once again to row, yes row, in the dark on the Tideway. The photo is of my trusty steed doing the food shop and sporting a set of newly added risers for more comfortable commuting & general usage.

Club to Pub

Today was a good day. As usual a challenging rowing session was the focus but I finished off nicely with a Hog roast, a touch of christmas chopping and finally watching the rugby at the Cricketers with a pint of ale in my hand.

Short Days

I find myself remarking when I cycle in daylight nowadays as it has become a rarity.

Crisp Country Air

I savoured this morning, being still at home. Mum cooked me a delicious cooked breakfast, I slept in in my heavenly soft bed and chased badge around the garden tirelessly while mum did some gardening. The air smelled so crisp and fresh. Christmas is just too far away. I then rushed home for a fantastic water session, possibly the best so far and finished off with a 6 hour marathon of trying to get my Outsider project finished.

Incredible

Incredible, Southern actually just refunded my ticket from last time I went home (Coincidentally on the day I next go home). I honestly didn't think I would see the day! Its Annas play tonight so I running for the train and madly trying to get my Outsider Illustrations finished.

*Anna's play was spectacular!

Non Stop

Monday morning, 5am. Off to the boat club with my stomach full of hot tea and icy wind rushing through my balaclava. A beautiful but hard session. Perfect. Next step, continuing my degree with a lecture on the use of the grid on modernist artwork. Later, as if all that was not enough for one day our Cox Steph had her 21st Birthday for which everyone from the team had to dress up as superheroes and drink (alot). It was a fun night.

Richmond Park

I had a free day today for once so Josh and I jumped on our bikes and cycled to Richmond Park. Its a great place with cool smooth roads for cycling and an almost sussex like amount of trees. Oh, did I mention the tamed deer. The stag in the photo was being groomed by a magpie. I climbed a tree and then we cycled home.

Lee & Back

I love the top photo. Not only does it feature my new Holdsworth but also the cheeky seagull above is having a butchers. I popped to Lee (Near Lewisham) today to pick up a new Front wheel as my old one suffered damage in the crash. Now im riding smooth and true (except for the potholes etc). I bought it off an interesting guy who has a passion for old Italian frames which he beautifully restored. His shed and house are my dream come true with draws and boxes overflowing with the coolest bits and pieces. I wish I could have taken some photos. There was a Purple Bob Jackson road frame in my size with red decals which has my name on it. Only 220 pounds. Ahhh.

Slow Down

I walked to and from University today. It felt less rushed. This was probably because I didn't have to dash to rowing straight after however. Today was life drawing. I was happy with most of my work but it doesn't beat exploring London as I have become accustomed.

Fog

I have realised I love fog. The river literally steams when it gets really cold and maked for some great experiences. Here are the Kingston Swans doing their thing.

Cookery

The above dish is the most delicious meal I have ever cooked. Its a Turkey Jalfrezi with Green Peppers, chips and Ketchup (Of Course). The cup is filled with Ink (Not my bad washing up).

Mad Sunday

Sundays are supposed to be relaxing days. Today was not. I rushed around in the morning, rushed to core workouts in Putney and finished off with a shlep across London to Highbury for some bike bits (Kind of worth it). Next Sunday will be different.

Soho

My last London drawing day for a while. I spent my day in Soho and Chinatown - two very cool places. I got charged £9.00 for a cup of tea and an Eclair at the 'Maison Berteaux' tearoom and drew a sleepign tramp in the Charing Cross Library.

The Outsider

I was kindly given some Pebeo Inks from my sisters Godmothers Husband. They are vivid and smell sweet. I shall post some work with them included in soon. I am in the middle of a new project where i have to Illustrate the front cover and inside 'The Outsider' by Albert Camus. This is a rough composition sketch for a possible work. We will see.

Rain this morning and then lovely evening sky. I had a water session on the Thames today which was nice but very cold.

Up & Running

I got a new Threadless Bottom Bracket for my Holdsworth today and it rides sweet. Needs tinkering though! The sun was out.
