The Middle Floor

Although I had Life Drawing and Art History today, here is picture of a clay 'Indian Village' I made yesterday. It is now smashed into alot of little pieces. The top floor is tutor, the middle floor is Life Drawing and the bottom floor is rotation.

Black & White & Lights

More activity from the 3d workshop, this time a grainy photo of a so called metropolis and featuring a tiny foam person perched on the ledge of my diamond shaped building. Also, some awesome lights that were cast on the floor of the station. Im pretty sure that your not allowed to take any pictures in or around railway property but in the end, who cares. Unfortunately the lights weren't dancing around in a cool revolving way but its still cool anyway!

Paris to Brighton

The two preliminary photos of today's set depict some Plaster-of-Paris objects I cast today. I made them by pouring the plaster into a crumpled dry-cleaning bag in the bottom of a tray. After some mess creation and much fuss, these strange, solid, clay-like forms emerged. I them stacked them in a heap and took some macro shots. Also, making my way back to the station I noticed some people doing a fashion shoot in front of some of the NEQ boards. It was quite funny. It also shocks me to see some people walk the length of the boards an not even glance at them once. That is quite shocking.

Long Hard Day

Red paint in the sun, it almost reminds me of Monte Carlo and the F430's outside the Casino. Also a shot from the desolate blackrock carpark.

Life Drawing all day, then Golf Night, then Clubbing. I went to bed at 4.00am and then woke up at 7.30 for college! Woo!

Double Take

This time with two Porsches either side! The 911 on the right looked under a week old. The P-0's were still glossy and there was not even a hint of brake dust anywhere on the wheels.

Good Day

A serendipitous moment at the station as I approached the Golf!

Nice colours!

The title today is 'Good Day' because today was a good day!

Habit

This is the view I have out the train window everyday at about 4.20-4.25. Platform 3, 3rd carriage, 2nd door!

Train & Space-Ships

There seems to be a pattern developing here. Today was my last day of fabric and textile sculpture. It was much more enjoyable than I had expected!

Spaghetti Strips

Some how from the textile and surface work I did today, I have decided to make a 3d sculpture response piece in the form of a spaceship. That is development for you!

To The Dome

I was really pleased with the first photo of this trio. It is of a Tube train somewhere near the Millennium Dome. A 20,000 seat venue is quite an astonishing sight.

Friday Night

It may seem odd having the title of this post 'Friday Night' when its a saturday but these photos were pretty much taken this morning. I slept in/guarded a wedding marquee that was fully set up and arranged. It was an extremely surreal experience. The wind was blowing fiercely which gave the impression intruders were coming in through every wall. The temperature felt sub zero and no matter how many layers I engulfed myself in, the cold kept creeping in. Apart from that, I managed to get alot of self night photography done which is always satisfying. I regretted not bringing my tripod though. Here are three pics including the before during and after of my night.

Shadow Day

I lost my wallet at the beginning of today and then found it again at the end. So college today, although fun, was difficult. Even when I was trying to cancel my card the fire alarm went off. Sods law. This evening I am sleeping in a wedding marquee as a job for some friends of mums. Photos to follow.

Golf Night IV

See the stars BIG

Tonight was a really good night. First a haircut, then a meeting with some people about a job tomorrow, then to the driving range and finally to the Jack & Jill!

Flash Down

Dark car shot because I couldn't get my camera out in the big church at lunchtime. That shot will have to wait for another day.

The date today was 9/9/09 !!

Alone

...was the title of my sculptural project today. I cant help but get the feeling that this foundation course is catering for people who have no imagination and are therefore spoonfed silly concepts while the feeders hope they'll try this thing called thinking some day themselves. If one is to create a piece of art out of newspaper and masking tape to portray an exterior characteristic or object then an hour or two with limited supplies and starting points derived by others is not the way to go about it. I think the main thing I am going to have trouble with this year is not doing enough of what I want (Without sounding arrogant...but this stuff is personal!).

London Electric

What a great night. So tired now though! The weather recently has been remarkable and exceptional. Why couldn't it have come two weeks earlier?

Moon

I crawled out onto my roof at 11.30 to get this shot.

Saturday Duty

With an empty house and dog who needs walking, there is only one place to go. It was nice to not be 'doing' anything planned today as the last what seems like year has been somewhere just short of absolutely jam packed.

Madeira Night

This was technically taken early friday morning. I was enrolled onto my course today successfully and I now have a library card. College only lasted for an hour leaving plenty of time for a sleep in and then many afternoon excursions.
